“SAVING ONE DOG WILL NOT CHANGE THE WORLD, BUT SURELY FOR THAT ONE DOG, THE WORLD WILL CHANGE FOREVER.”
In Spain, in 2016, nearly 138,000 animals were abandoned.
If you're thinking about adding a pet to your family, please get in touch and I'll help you to find the perfect addition. It doesn't matter if you're looking for a puppy or an adult dog, a hypoallergenic dog or a small one. Whatever your requirements, there's a pet out there for you.
The pounds and shelters in Spain are full of wonderful animals who need a second chance.
I have contacts in rescues all over Spain who can help to arrange transport if your perfect pet is outside of Madrid.
Obviously I offer this service completely free of charge.
Rescues and pounds charge an adoption fee that goes towards the pet's vets bills including a microchip, vaccinations, health tests and neutering or spaying.
Please consider adopting and you could save a life. Please feel free to join my group, Madrid Pet Lovers, where dogs, cats and exotic animals who need rehoming are posted on a daily basis.
"I DON'T FOSTER BECAUSE IT'S EASY TO SAY GOODBYE.
I FOSTER BECAUSE IT'S EASIER THAN WATCHING THEM DIE."
Fostering an animal is one of the most rewarding experiences you could ever imagine. When you foster you're saving the life of that animal, and also the animal that their space made room for in the pound or the shelter.
Shelters can be extremely stressful situations for animals, whereas fostering gives them the opportunity to have a home, a routine, security and a family.
When you foster, the rescue generally takes care of all vets bills, and many rescues also provide food, so all you need to provide is a loving family.
If you're interested in fostering and would like to find out more about what it involves, please get in touch.
In the last few years, we have fostered over 50 animals, mostly abandoned bottlefed puppies and kittens... If that's just one home, imagine how many more need help!
