About

Every journey is better with a dog by your side

Hi, I’m Lou! I’m Irish but moved to Madrid in 2013, and now live in Meco with my (very patient) husband Jack and our little girls Fía and Ellie. I’m a canine behaviour expert, helping people and their dogs build stronger, more trusting relationships through kindness and practical guidance.

My dog training journey began with a foster puppy named Cailín.
I had no idea that this tiny, fearful ball of curls was about to change my life forever.

In my efforts to teach Cailín, I realised that she was the one teaching me. My journey to help her became a path to helping other dogs and their people too.

Over the past 15 years, our family has fostered more than 250 animals in Ireland and Spain, from newborn puppies and kittens to senior rescues. We’ve had blind, injured, and special-needs dogs and cats. Each one has taught us something new about patience, trust, and communication.

I have also spent years volunteering in animal shelters, enjoy helping to take care of friends’ horses, and have looked after everything from a tortoise to a pig. I run a Facebook community called Madrid Pet Lovers to help other animal lovers connect, and I work with WEPETS Travel to support families moving internationally with their pets.

Both you and your dog have unique stories. My aim is to help you connect, giving you the tools, understanding, and confidence to continue training and strengthening your relationship long after our sessions.

I have experience with puppies and dogs of all ages and breeds. I have also worked with a lot of nervous and fearful dogs, so their safety and wellbeing is my priority.
